DOT Drug Testing

Employers regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) must comply with strict drug testing guidelines to maintain workplace safety and compliance. Currently, DOT regulations mandate an extended 5-panel urine drug test, which screens for the most commonly abused substances, including:

  •  Marijuana (THC)

The DOT is considering transitioning to hair follicle drug testing, which provides a longer detection window. This change is currently under review and awaiting approval from each department before implementation.
